As a rational-thinking UFC fighter, Holly Holm thinks she could be in line for a rematch with Miesha Tate, which is why she turned down an opportunity to fight Cris "Cyborg" Justino.

But in Dana White's world, the former women's bantamweight champion is not the favorite child. In fact, Holm manager, Lenny Fresquez, may be one of White's least favorite children, which may keep her waiting for another marquee fight.

Holly Holm Comments Reveal Why Dana White Is Bad For UFC

Holm is holding out hope for a rematch against Tate, who defeated her with a choke-out in the waning moments of their title fight at UFC 196 last month, or for a rematch against favorite White daughter Ronda Rousey, the Albuquerque Journal reported.

When Holm was a women's boxing champion, Fresquez was her promoter and could set up her fights. Now, he is simply her agent and has to negotiate with the UFC for fights.

Dana White's "I Feel Bad For Holly" Comments Are Insulting To Ex-Champion

"This one's definitely a little more out of my hands," Holm told the Journal. "(In boxing), I knew that Lenny would give me the opportunity as long as I wanted it. This is a whole different situation.

"I really want that rematch, but I'm not the one with the title now. I'm not the one with the belt. So I have to be patient and wait for that opportunity to come."

Tate reportedly wants a fight before her proposed rematch against Rousey in November. Fresquez said the new champion is out of the country and he is waiting for her return to see whether she and the UFC want to pursue a rematch this summer.

White repeatedly has belittled Holm's representation, even chastising and ridiculing Holm for allowing Fresquez to negotiate a fight with Tate, rather than wait for the bigger payday that would accompany a rematch with Rousey.

"The sad part about that is, listen, he's an old boxing guy who thinks he's smart, and he's not," White said during an appearance on ESPN's Russillo & Kanell. "It's one of those things. I feel bad about it. I feel bad for Holly. I don't know if Holly really knows what she lost. I think she has so much faith in the people that surround her, she feels like, 'Well, they got me this far.'

"We had this meeting, and Holly wasn't even in it. Holly, that's your life. You should be in that meeting. Don't leave it to these people. Anyway, Holly made a lot of money. She accomplished great things, she beat Ronda Rousey. But it could have been so much bigger for her, and the sad part is, I don't think she even knows it."

Based on those remarks, it's a long shot to believe the UFC will give Holm a rematch against Tate because White believes Holm cost him a lot of money by losing to Tate.

Unless Rousey definitively is coming back and gives White the OK to let Tate and Holm have their rematch and she'll fight the winner, Holm could be waiting a while before she gets another shot at the title or Rousey.

A win over Cyborg would've helped Holm's cause, but now she is at the mercy of White and Rousey.
