Air Jordan 5 Retro Low ‘Cavaliers’ Release Date, Price, Where to Buy & Photos

Jordan Brand will release another eye-catching colorway of one of their retro models and they are hoping the new edition will be among the hottest items on the sneaker market in the coming days.

Jordan Brand will release the Air Jordan 5 Retro Low in Deep Royal Blue/Midnight Navy/Atomic Orange/Team Orange colorway. On the official product page from Nike, this colorway is officially listed as the "Royal Blue" edition but most reports, including one from Sneaker Bar Detroit, dubbed the upcoming colorway as the "Cavaliers" edition.

This edition is associated with the Cleveland Cavaliers, as it shows the team colorways of the Ohio-based squad in the past. It features a royal blue-based leather upper part combined with grey, team orange and white hints.

The Air Jordan 5 Retro Low "Cavaliers" also sports a royal blue lace with team orange lace locks. It has a grey tongue with an orange Jumpman logo, which can also be seen on the royal blue insole.

Under the tongue is an orange padding with the Air Jordan branding. Aside from the tongue and insole, the orange Jumpman logo is also present on the heel area of this retro model.

The Air Jordan 5 "Cavaliers" was finished off with a white midsole with orange hints and a translucent rubber outsole, while under the shoe is a Jordan branding with a red Jumpman logo.

Some reports, including a preview from Kicks On Fire, dubbed the shoe as the "Knicks" edition because it resembles the current team colorways of the New York Knicks in the NBA.

However, Nike indicated on the official product page that his colorway is a tribute to Jordan's 69-point performance against a rival team.

"The Air Jordan 5 Retro Low returns again with a splash of orange and blue, paying homage to His Airness' 69 point game against an old arch nemesis," Nike wrote.

While Nike did not specifically mention the Cavaliers, Jordan scored a career-high 69 points during their 117-113 win against Cleveland on March 28, 1990, ESPN reported.

The Air Jordan 5 Retro Low "Cavaliers" will arrive at retailers on March 28 -- 26 years after Jordan's greatest game in terms of scoring. This edition will be available in full family sizing with retail prices set at $175 for men's sizes, $120 for GS sizes, $75 for PS sizes and $55 for TD sizes.
