See if you've heard this one before: The reigning UFC women's bantamweight champion doesn't want to wait eight months to fight Ronda Rousey.

New champion Miesha Tate is not willing to wait for Rousey to for a third fight in November, according Sporting News. She has the same problem former champion Holly Holm had having to wait eight months to get back into the octagon.

Instead Tate is fascinated with a possible matchup against Cristiane Cyborg Justine, the current Invicta FC featherweight champion, at a 140-pound catchweight, MMA Junkie reported.

"Yeah, man," she said at a UFC Q&A for UFC Fight Night in Manila. "I don't know. I've been hearing rumors or something that supposedly she's coming to the UFC. But I've been hearing it for such a long time, I just don't really know and I haven't had that confirmed.

"But I am open to that fight, maybe doing a catchweight at 140 (pounds). I have nothing but respect for 'Cyborg.'"

Rousey recently revealed a video of herself eating an apple, symbolic for showing that she is recovered from her brutal loss to Holm last November. UFC president Dana White has said Tate's first defense likely will be against Rousey in November, 2016, but nothing has been finalized, and Rousey has not indicated she wants the fight.

"I don't think they (the UFC) really know what's happening with Ronda, the last thing I heard was that November was an anticipated date for her," said Tate.

"I'm not really sure, but I did see her eat an apple, so that's a step in the right direction. ...

"As far as fighting, I definitely want to fight more than not, so I'd prefer not to wait all the way till November.

"If I'm doing my maths correctly, that's about eight months and I've done that before, but there's only so long you can be in this career and I want to prove I'm the best in the world and that means fighting."

By the same token, Tate isn't overly anxious to give Holm a rematch after taking the title away from her two weeks ago at UFC 196, MMANews.com reported.

"I know that there's a lot of really top contenders, a lot of girls in the division, that are really chomping at the bit," she said. "I think I've been called out by probably everybody in the top-6, if not potentially the top-10. So, they're all gunning for me, and they're all dangerous, and they all have their different attributes to bring to the table, so I think my job as the champ is just to stay ready for whoever. I'm just going to stay in the gym, and I have to be able to beat every single one of them."
