Fox Sports talking head Colin Cowherd has a theory about Johnny Manziel that still requires a second part of the plan.

A second part of the plan that has to include a return to rehab.

Cowboys Interest In Johnny Manziel Contingent Upon Him Getting His 'Life Back Together'

Cowherd went on a rant about the "troubled" quarterback, saying that Manziel deliberately sabotaged his relationship with the Browns so he could earn his release, the Dallas Morning News reported.

That's why Manziel suddenly started showing up all over social media in the days leading to the official start of the 2016 league year, allowing the Browns to release him.

NFL Should Be Alarmed If 3 Teams Have Interest In Johnny Manziel

"What do you do when you want to break up with somebody as a guy?" Cowherd asked on his radio show Monday. "You create conflict; you start fights. ... You want her to dump you, so you do stupid stuff. ..."

"Johnny Manziel hates Cleveland. Johnny Manziel said (to the Browns during last year's NFL draft prior to the Browns drafting him), 'We're going to wreck this league' (to persuade Cleveland to take him) because he was going to drop to the second round, and he wanted to make first-round money.

Johnny Manziel made up his mind in the middle of this season 'get me the hell out of here.' So Johnny Manziel is going on this TMZ tour because he wanted to get cut by Cleveland. ... He's going out of his way to go to popular clubs so he can be seen by TMZ, so he's not even trying."

Cowherd went on to say that Manziel wants to play in a warm-weather city.

A couple of problems exist with that theory. The first is the domestic violence charge that Manziel's ex-girlfriend, Colleen Crowley, brought against him, which is a huge issue in the NFL.

The second is that his escape plan also convinced the rest of the NFL that he has a substance abuse problem that needs to be addressed before he can get back out on the field.

So if Manziel was intentionally breaking up with the Browns, he has to know that he must re-enter rehab to have any chance to get back in the league. And that's contingent upon a grand jury in Dallas deciding that he shouldn't be charged with domestic violence or that he is found innocent if he is charged.

Manziel spent 10 weeks in a rehab facility last offseason, but he never disclosed the reason for the rehab. This time around, whatever team might sign Johnny Football likely would put a zero-tolerance clause in his next contract, meaning any more parties and he's done.

He does appear in another TMZ video saying "Of course" he'll play football again next season, so he has to know he'll have to do something dramatic to get a team to take a chance on him.
