Eugenie Bouchard is seeing stars again. That is more of a bad thing than good.

The Canadian tennis star advanced to the finals of the Malaysian Open but lost to Elina Svitolina 6-7 (5), 6-4, 7-5, in the championship match. It's the second finals appearance --- and loss --- for the 22-year-old this year.

But more significantly, the symptoms of dizziness that forced Bouchard to miss the last quarter of the 2015 season that resulted from a concussion sustained after a mixed doubles match at the U.S. Open, returned this week, according to Yahoo Sports Canada.

"It was another tough struggle, physically," Yahoo Sports Canada reported. "During her quarterfinal against Cagla Buyukakcay, Bouchard had complained of dizziness and needed to take a medical timeout. Sunday, after the second set, she was in some distress again -- her blood pressure and pulse were taken again, and the trainer worked on her neck for a significant period of time.

"To see Bouchard like that, in tears as she discusses her situation with the tour trainer, is always a concern."

Bouchard led 4-2 in the second set of her finals match against Svitolina but lost the last four games of the set and called for the trainer before the start of the third set.

Bouchard still served for the match at 5-4 in the third but ended up losing three straight games.

Alize Cornet defeated Bouchard in the finals of the Hobart Open in January.

Bouchard, who was ranked as high as No. 5 in 2014 when she advanced to the semifinals of the first three Grand Slams of the year -- including a finals appearance at the French Open -- watched her game freefall to No. 48 at the end of the year. She subsequently fell to No. 61 after losing in the second round of this year's Australian Open.

But Bouchard, who was back up to No. 52 entering the Malaysian Open, should climb another 10 spots as a result of her finals appearance. But her primary concern right now has to be making sure that the latest dizzy spells are unrelated to the concussion she suffered in September at the U.S. Open.
