Holly Holm is not about to go around taking naked photos, body paint or not.
That's as close as Holm will get to saying something negative about former UFC women's bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey.
Holly Holm Gives Ronda Rousey Pep Talk About Rematch
Holly was recently at a conference to promote her March 5 championship fight against Miesha Tate, when Rousey's name invariably came up. Holm was asked whether she would've agreed to take photos in body paint for Sports Illustrated's Swimsuit Issue, as Rousey had done.
And even in saying no, Holm made sure not to make a judgement about Ronda.
"I'd go for a suit," Holm replied to the question, according to a video posted on moviepilot.com, drawing laughter. "Nothing against it; just personal preference."
That exchange came at the end of a two-minute segment in which the reporter wondered whether Holm was jealous or frustrated that the former baddest woman on the planet -- whom Holm beat soundly with a second-round knockout in November to claim the UFC belt -- still was receiving more media attention than she is.
Not only did Rousey grace the cover of SI's biggest-selling issue but she also hosted "Saturday Night Live" in late January and has had roles in feature films.
"Personally, all those things I think are awesome to experiences to take in, so I would love to have experiences" Holm responded. "However, my job is my passion, which is fighting, and that's what I'm still being able to do right now. So I see that as a perk.
"If I had some time off before the fight, then I would like to, but right now I actually don't feel anything about it because I've got a fight in front of me and I wouldn't actually be able to enjoy those things right now. ... I'm OK not having that."
Rousey evolved from UFC star to Hollywood star, which may have contributed to her loss to Holm. Holm, at least right now, is focused only on being a UFC star.
