If the Cowboys are prepared to take a QB with the No. 4 overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft, they'll have a hard time choosing between Jared Goff and Carson Wentz.

That's what experts have told Matt Mosley -- co-host of The Afternoon Show with Cowlishaw and Mosley -- but Mosley still gives the edge to Goff.

"I would still lean toward Jared Goff at this point," he said, per Dallas News. "The experts that I trust have Wentz and Goff in a virtual tie. Give me the guy who's played against big-time competition on a regular basis, although I would never count Jim Mora's UCLA Bruins as big-time competition.

"I've spent a little time with Goff recently. Very impressive guy who seems utterly prepared for what's coming his way."

Admittedly, logic would see the Pac-12 QB go before the one who played in a dome in Fargo -- the Missouri Valley Football Conference isn't exactly a hotbed for stiff competition -- but Wentz's potential is still worthy of consideration.

NFL analyst Bucky Brooks went as far as comparing him to Cam Newton.

"People say [Joe] Flacco and some other guys [when making Wentz comparisons], but he's far more athletic than that," Brooks said, per NFL.com. "He's not the physical specimen than Cam is but, he is a big-bodied, athletic QB who is very comfortable running and putting his body in harm's way."

The one thing working in Dallas' favor is the Browns. Desperate for a QB of its own, Cleveland will go a long way in determining who's still available at No. 4.

The decision may turn out easier than some think.
