Tonight at 7:00 p.m. ET, the Vancouver Canucks (5-4-1) and New York Islanders (3-3-2) go head to head live from the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in New York. The game can be live streamed here. Vancouver fans can hear all the action by turning their dials to Team Radio 1014 AM while New York fans can do the same on WRHU 88.7 FM.

Vancouver enters the first of two meetings between these two teams this season in the midst of a six-game road trip and on the heels of getting swept over the weekend in losses to the Pittsburgh Penguins and Columbus Blue Jackets while it sits in fifth place with 11 points in the Pacific Division. New York comes in boasting a 2-1-2 record at home and sits in third place in the Metropolitan Division and six points behind the division-leading Penguins. Vancouver hopes its tour through the Metropolitan Division gets a little easier after losses to Columbus and Pittsburgh.

The Canucks have dropped as many games as they've won in their first year under head coach John Tortorella, but there has been no shortage of scoring. Henrik Sedin enters the game tied for the league-lead in assists with 10 and tied for second in the league with 12 points while adding two goals. Jason Garrison is right behind Sedin with nine points (two goals and seven assists) while Henrik's brother Daniel Sedin has eight points off of two tallies and six helpers.

The Islanders had their streak of getting at least one point at home in four-straight games to start the season snapped Saturday night when New York fell to the Carolina Hurricanes 4-3 after mounting a bit of a comeback with two third period goals while trailing 4-1.

"We've got to play a full 60 minutes," defenseman Andrew MacDonald said per NHL.com. "There wasn't enough urgency early. We were kind of standing around a little bit too much and we got burnt a few times. It's unacceptable."

Captain John Tavares is tied for the team lead in goals with six and paces the team in assists (four) and points (10) while Frans Nielsen (four goals, four assists), Kyle Okposo (three goals, five assists) and Michael Grabner (two goals, six assists) each have eight points.

The Islanders will most likely have the task of trying to solve Roberto Luongo as he had a day of rest Sunday and Eddie Lack played against the Blue Jackets in just his second NHL start, but lost after stopping 26 of 28 shots.

"He played a great game," Henrik Sedin said of Lack, according to NHL.com. "He's given us a chance to win in each of his starts. That's all you can ask from him."

Luongo has a 4-3-1 record with a 2.47 GAA and a .910 save percentage so far. The Isles counter between the pipes with Evgeni Nabokov, who is 3-2-2 with a 2.51 GAA and a .914 save percentage.

Vancouver looks to avenge a brutal weekend while New York hopes to continue its success at home and prove that Saturday's loss was just a hiccup when the lights come on tonight at Nassau Coliseum in New York.
