Tom Daugherty, EJ Tackett, Jason Belmonte, Jesper Svensson and Mitch Beasley will battle for the first major title of the season. PBA’s signature event -- the FireLake PBA Tournament of Champions -- will be held on Sunday.
All eyes will remain on Belmonte, the two-time defending champion. The 32-year-old defeated Wes Malott in 2014 by a single pin, 219-218. One year later, Belmonte successfully defended his title, beating Rhino Page in the title match 232-214.
Daugherty hasn’t had much success in the event. He bowled a 100 game against Mika Koivuniemi in 2011.
Tackett, Svensson and Beasley are each in search of their first PBA Tournament of Champions victory.
A free live stream of the event scheduled for 2 p.m. ET can be found here.
