Two of the top five clubs in Liga MX cross paths on Saturday, as America host Santos Laguna.

America were dominant in their 3-0 victory over Dorados in Week 4. The victory pushed the club to seven points in the league table, but perhaps more importantly, briefly silenced the critics. America were undressed 4-1 by Pachuca just a week before.

Things have gone smoother for Santos Laguna.

After missing out on the Liguilla last tournament, Los Guerreros have returned to championship form, winning three consecutive matches. But this isn't Chiapas, Queretaro, nor Tijuana. America pose a potent threat, much like Leon did in Week 1.

Santos lost that match 2-0.

What They're Saying

America midfielder William (via Esto): "In reality, we need to drown all that [noise] out. We can't pay attention to the critics that are trying to bring us down. They actually motivate us. We know we're a team everyone pays attention to. We know that on the pitch we can do our job to get results."

Santos Laguna manager Luis Zubeldia (via Esto): "This is just another game that we have to play well in. We know there are 17 fixtures. We've played four, won three and lost one. You always have to keep looking forward, so trying to apply more pressure on us doesn't make sense."
