My, how Colin Kaepernick has fallen, and the comments about him are more curious than the next.

Three years ago, the 49ers quarterback looked to be on the verge of becoming a superstar and the face of a new-age signal-caller.

Colin Kaepernick May Want Out Of San Fran To Play With Jets

Now, he's having a hard time finding anyone who still likes his offensive skills.

Jets wide receiver Brandon Marshall, responding to a New York Daily News report that Kaepernick was eying the Jets as a destination for 2016, said thanks but no thanks on ESPN's "First Take" via Pro Football Talk.

"I don't want Kaepernick," Marshall said. "I think he's good. My guy's Fitz. It's nothing against Kaepernick. ... I have my quarterback, so I'm good."

Jarryd Hayne Is Chip Kelly's Tim Tebow Experiment In 2016

Marshall is referring to Ryan Fitzpatrick, who completed just 16-of-37 passes for 181 yards with two touchdowns and three interceptions in a 22-17 loss to the Bills in Week 17 that knocked the Jets out of playoff contention. One of Fitzpatrick's interceptions came with the Jets trailing 19-17 in the fourth quarter and in the Bills' red zone.

San Francisco coach Chip Kelly refused to discuss Kaepernick shortly after being hired by the 49ers, making an excuse about a bogus NFL rule not allowing him to talk about Kaepernick yet.

After The Daily News report, an anonymous source told NJ.com the report has no merit.

"No," the person said. "Nothing. No idea where it came from. Random, strange article."

What's interesting about that comment is the fact that a supposed Kaepernick or 49ers confidant wished to remain anonymous, rather that reveal himself.

Other strange talk includes the possibility of the 49ers trading him when teams know San Francisco has to release him before April 1 or pay him his 2016 salary of $11.9 million.
