The most prestigious tournament in the Americas returns on Wednesday, with Puebla batting Racing Club in the first playoff round of the Copa Libertadores.

Both clubs are looking to qualify for the group stages. For Puebla, an aggregate victory will see the club join Toluca and Pumas UNAM in the quest to fly Mexico's flag. All three are looking to repeat Tigres UANL's success in last year's Copa, where the reigning Liga MX champions fell to River Plate in the final.

Racing is favored by many to advance past Puebla. The club finished fourth in Argentina's top flight last season, only seven points behind Boca Juniors.

What They're Saying

Puebla captain Matías Alustiza (via Esto): "There's a home and away [match]. At home, we have to grab an advantage because it's going to be difficult to play in Argentina, but Puebla can play a great game in Argentina. Here [at home], it's hard to play in altitude. It's difficult for any player [to adjust to it]. We have to concentrate on the 90 minutes here and the 90 minutes over there."

Racing Club manager Facundo Sava (via Infobae): "The team still has not been decided. We have to keep working with the players. They're in good form."
