Rory McIlroy still dreams of beating Tiger Woods, but his focus should remain on Jordan Spieth. He's the one more likely to become a nightmare.

McIlroy -- who boasts four major victories to date -- is in Dubai to defend his crown at the Omega Dubai Desert Classic. Rather than worry about the field, his focus turned to a dream scenario he ambitiously hopes to live out.

Rory McIlroy Doesn't Want To Say What He Really Feels About Tiger Woods

"Hopefully if [Tiger] can get healthy, I would still love to have a crack at him down the stretch in a major," McIlroy said, per the Irish Examiner. "I would love that, just once.

"At this point it's just up to him to get healthy and get his game back, and if I hopefully keep playing the way I'm playing, maybe one day it'll happen."

He just shouldn't hold his breath. Woods isn't exactly optimistic about his playing future.

"I don't think I'll ever be 100 percent healthy," the former world No. 1 said in December, per Golf Channel. "But as close as you can to that point, that would be nice. As long as I don't have the pain, then I don't think there would be an issue.

"I will probably play through a little bit of pain, aches and pains, as you get older, you have more aches and pains."

You know who doesn't have aches and pains?

McIlroy is better off envisioning Spieth down the stretch in a major. That's the scenario most likely to keep happening.
