Tonight at 8:00 p.m. ET, the St. Louis Blues (5-1-0) and Winnipeg Jets (3-4-0) faceoff live from the MTS Centre in Winnipeg. The game can be live streamed here. St. Louis fans can hear all the hard-hitting action on KMOX 1120 AM while Winnipeg fans can do the same at TSN 1290 AM.

This is the first five meetings between these new Central Division rivals while the Blues enter play trying to keep pace with division-leading Colorado, who it trails by two points, while the Jets look to turn their season around after early woes have placed them in the division's basement.

This will be just the second road game for the Blues after defeating the Chicago Blackhawks 3-2 in a shootout Thursday night, and the team is looking to keep momentum going after it bounced back from a 6-2 loss to the red-hot San Jose Sharks Tuesday.

"Overall, our whole game was a lot better," defenseman Jay Bouwmeester said. "It was kind of where it needed to be to play against teams like this. Obviously, against San Jose, we didn't and we've got to learn from it. Tonight was better."

The Blues have been paced by Alex Steen, who has a team-high nine points off of five goals and four assists. David Backes ties Steen for the team-high in goals with five while adding two assists for seven points, and has three goals in his last four games. Derek Roy has two tallies and four helpers for six points to start the season.

Winnipeg was shutout by the Montreal Canadiens Tuesday night in a 3-0 loss and will look to improve its record after going 1-2-0 through the first three games of a six-game homestand. Captain Andrew Ladd was upset with the way the team has performed.

"It's on each and every one of us individually to prepare for the game and make sure we're ready for puck drop," he told the Winnipeg Free Press. "There's absolutely no excuse to not be ready once that game is going."

Ladd is tied for a team-high three goals and has added an assist for four points to start the season. Toby Enstrom and Dustin Byfuglien lead the team with six points--all on assists while Bryan Little and Evander Kane are tied with Ladd with three goals each while also racking up two assists for five points apiece.

In the crease, Winnipeg has mostly turned to Ondrej Pavelec, who is 2-4-0 with a 3.04 goals-against average and a .907 save percentage. The Blues back a one-two punch in Jaroslav Halak (5-1-0, 2.26 GAA, .919 save percentage) and Brian Elliot, who has yet to complete a full game, but has allowed two goals and has 13 saves.

The Blues will look to keep dominating to keep pace with Colorado while the Jets will try to start clawing their way out of the Central Division cellar when these teams hit the ice in Winnipeg tonight.
