Two of the most potent clubs in Liga MX will cross paths, when America hosts Pachuca on Saturday.

Both clubs enter Week 3 with four points. After disappointing draws in Week 1 -- America with Puebla and Pachuca with Tijuana -- both clubs secured victories in Week 2. Las Aguilas undressed Atlas 3-0, while Los Tuzos escaped with a 1-0 victory over Queretaro.

Saturday's match isn't a clasico by Mexican standards, but a rivalry is brewing these two clubs. Pachuca eliminated America in the 2015 Clausura Liguilla. America returned the favor the following season with a 3-0 victory at the Estadio Hidalgo.

What They're Saying

America captain Rubens Sambueza (via Esto): "We feel calmer. The amount of trophies we have compared to [everyone else] says it all. We feel like the biggest winners in Mexican football because of what we've done, the amount of titles we've won, our club size, the glory ... what else can say? It's clear [we're the biggest club in Mexico]."

Pachuca goalkeeper Oscar Perez (via Esto): "[America] went to [Pachuca] last year and beat us 3-0, but that doesn't affect us one bit because that's an old result. Things happen. You can't concern yourself with numbers because at the end of the day, you have to play the game."
