With the German winter break behind them, Hoffenheim and Bayer Leverkusen return to the pitch on Saturday.

The first half of the Bundesliga campaign didn't go according to plan for the hosts. Hoffenheim finished the first 17 matchdays with just 13 points. The club is currently dead last in Germany's first division and face the reality of relegation in 2016.

Liverpool Desperate To Sign Chicharito

The future is tad brighter for Bayer Leverkusen, especially with Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez.

The Mexican striker -- whose form sees him carry 19 goals across all competitions -- has helped Leverkusen rise to fifth in the Bundesliga table. Only three points separate them from a return to the Champions League.

Hoffenheim manager Huub Stevens (via Derwesten): "The table does not lie. I have to build up the players. You have to overcome your weaker self."

Bayer Leverkusen manager Roger Schmidt (via Bayer04): "We won't judge the opposition by their league position. They have a very experienced coach in Huub Stevens and he will have used the winter break to clear his players' minds and get them back on track. It will be a difficult game."
