The Broncos offered the bait ahead of Sunday's AFC Championship game. Tom Brady, in typical Patriots fashion, didn't bite.

The Patriots QB responded to Antonio Smith's comments on Wednesday. Smith accused Brady of being a "crybaby," saying, per NESN: "I've never seen any quarterback look to the referee right after he gets sacked more than Brady.

"Every time he gets sacked he looks at the ref like, 'You see him sack me? Was that supposed to happen? He did it a little hard. Please throw a 15-yard penalty on him. Get him fined.'"

Tom Brady Has No Problem Embracing His Soft Image

Always the politician, Brady brushed it off.

"I love it when the refs throw flags at the defense," Brady said, per USA Today. "It advances our team. That is just part of football."

Cam Newton Should Pray Tom Brady Wins NFL MVP

Naturally, Brady doesn't recall any previous conversations with officials on the field.

"I don't remember much about them," he said. "I've taken a lot of hits over the years."

Smith and company will look to deliver a few more on Sunday. They better make them count too. Brady, more than anything else, let's his game do the talking on the field.
