Naturally, the provocative photos spurred questions for detractors. There’s no possible way GQ didn’t play a part in complementing the three-time FIFA Ballon d’Or winner.

As if that wasn’t enough, Ronaldo and GQ decided to release a video of Ronaldo in his underwear to continue feeding the trolls.

Abs aside, Ronaldo remains hard at work with Real Madrid. He scored a goal in Sunday's 5-1 victory over Sporting Gijon, his first of the 2016 calendar year.
