Every man wants a “ride-or-die” type in his corner. You just don’t want one named Miko Grimes.

Ask Brent Grimes.

Tom Coughlin Was Never The Right Choice For The Dolphins

The Dolphins CB was dragged through controversy after his wife addressed her dislike for Ryan Tannehill on Twitter. Keeping his career in mind, Brent was forced to apologize for something he wasn’t even responsible for.

“My wife's opinions are her opinions. They're not my opinions,” he said, per the Daily Mail. “I really don't understand why you ask me about my wife's opinions. It's not mine.”

Ryan Tannehill Finally Behaving Like A Franchise QB Worth Paying For

As if that wasn’t enough, Miko’s baggage continued to add more weight on Tuesday. Appearing on the “Tax Season” podcast, she opened up about her arrest outside Sun Life Stadium in September.

The audio -- too raw to transcribe, even for the Internet -- can be heard in full below. Fast forward to the 17:40 mark.

It should be of note -- considering Miko claims she was arrested for supporting the “Black Lives Matter” movement -- that the cop making the arrest in Sept. was black, per TMZ.

Not to say that Miko’s appearance on a podcast will keep her husband from working in the NFL, but it is another example of her taking her First Amendment rights seriously. While she’s correct in doing so, NFL teams are also correct in looking past Brent’s services.

There’s no need to bring a potential toxin into your locker room. There’s not even a need for the Dolphins to consider keeping him in 2016.

Miami would get $6 million in cap relief by cutting Grimes in the offseason. That’s a hefty amount worth considering in place for a soon-to-be 33-year-old veteran.
