Today at 1:00 p.m. Houston Texans (2-3) quarterback Matt Schaub will be fighting for his starting job when he laces up to face the St. Louis Rams (2-3). Live stream the game here; Texans fans can turn their radio dials to Bull 100.3, while Rams fans can hear the game on  101 ESPN.

Matt Schaub's had his jersey burned in the parking lot following a complete meltdown at home against the Seattle Seahawks, and been berated at his home by fans after a putrid effort in a blowout loss to the San Francisco 49ers. His own coach Gary Kubiak called sticking with him for this week's game a "tough decision."

"I'm better than I'm playing and our team's better than we're playing right now," said Schaub, who has been victimized for a pick-six in each of the last four games.

Kubiak is not spouting clichés about this tilt being "just another game" either. He realizes the implications of a loss at home to St. Louis, and is exhorting his team to play a complete game.

"I think it's a huge game," said Kubiak. "It would be big either way, but, yeah, it's big because of what we've gone through these past three weeks. I see a group of guys that are very close, very committed to each other, very hurt ... the only way you fix things is you go back and play and do things better. I can't wait for that opportunity to get here."

The Rams had been getting pounded until last week, when they picked on the Jaguars and got themselves in the win column for the first time since Week 1. "We looked at (last Sunday) as if it was the home opener and we just had a poor preseason," coach Jeff Fisher said. "So, we've got 11 games left on the schedule."
