With the return of the Bundesliga season two weeks away, Bayer Leverkusen returns to the pitch to face Santa Fe in the opening match of the 2016 Florida Cup.
While the tournament serves as an opportunity for international clubs to expand their brands and train under quality conditions, it will also serve as the return of Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez to North America.
Manchester United Almost Ruined Chicharito's Career
The Mexico international -- at one point destined to sign with Major League Soccer -- transferred to Leverkusen from Manchester United last summer. All he's done is reward them with 19 goals across all competitions.
He'll look to recapture that form after a long winter break on Sunday.

What They're Saying
Chicharito Hernandez on what he attributes his recent success to, per Orlando Sentinel: "What I was missing in the last two or three years, it was like I was playing sometimes and then returning to the bench. But now that I am playing most of the game or almost all of my games here in my club, that's what I need -- the rhythm, that confidence. Because people sometimes think the confidence is with goals, but I don't think like that. I think confidence is to play day-by-day, to get rhythm."
