History will be made when Jacksonville State (13-1) battles North Dakota State (12-2) in the FCS Championship game.
The Bison enter Saturday as the only team to win four consecutive Division I national championships. A victory over Jacksonville State will stretch that record to an unprecedented fifth and put the program to within one title of Georgia Southern for the most all time.
The Eagles currently boast six national championships.
For Jacksonville State -- despite being the No. 1 seed -- it's simply an honor to be here. The Gamecocks are making their first-ever national championship appearance after finishing 8-0 in the Ohio Valley Conference.
