Tim Tebow's ticket back into the NFL could be tied to a certain Bears assistant coach that has emerged as the hottest head coaching candidate in the league.

Adam Gase is interviewing with practically every team that has a head coaching vacancy. The Bears offensive coordinator has interviewed with the Eagles and Browns, is scheduled to visit the Dolphins on Thursday and is rumored to be on the list of Giants candidates, according to Cleveland.com

And who knows -- Gase just might swing by Tampa Bay after visiting the Dolphins, now that the Buccaneers have fired Lovie Smith.

It's Tebow who could benefit from Gase's inevitable hiring -- especially if Gase winds up in Philadelphia or Miami. Gase has a second interview with the Eagles scheduled over the weekend, according to NFL.com's Ian Rapoport.

Gase was the Broncos offensive coordinator when Tebow went 7-4 as the team's starter and guided Denver into the second round of the AFC playoffs in 2011.

Bears quarterback Jay Cutler had one of his most productive seasons under Gase's tutelage, enjoying the best touchdown-to-interception ratio in his career (21 TD passes and 11 interceptions) and tying his career high with four fourth-quarter comebacks, according to Pro Football Reference.

Tebow appeared to have shown considerable improvement during his preseason stint with the Eagles, video of which would be at Gase's disposal if he were to take the Eagles job. Tebow also has familiarity with the Eagles' offensive players.

With starter Sam Bradford headed for free agency, Tebow could help bring some stability to the position and at least compete with Mark Sanchez as the team's backup.

In Miami, Tebow obviously would be a popular figure, based on his collegiate success with the Florida Gators. And he could be a stop-gap solution for Gase if Dolphins starter Ryan Tannehill doesn't pan out as the long-term starter and the team tries to get out from under his hefty contract.

Tebow never may become a trusted starter in the NFL, but the flashes of improvement he showed with the Eagles from his time with the Broncos shows that he would continue to work on his craft, and unlike some other quarterbacks, his employer wouldn't have to worry about how he conducts himself off the field.
