James Harden's myriad distractions could explain the Rockets' struggles this season, but at least the latest issue had nothing to do with his reality star girlfriend.
Harden was miffed when a fan began using a laser pointer to distract him at the free throw line during the third quarter of the Rockets' game with the Jazz in Utah on Monday.
Khloe Kardashian, James Harden Unlikely To Make It Through 2016 Together
The Houston guard pointed the fan out and the game was halted so that security could find the perpetrator and kick them out of the arena. The fan was later banned from NBA arenas for one year following the stunt, according to the Houston Chronicle. The Rockets went on to win, 93-91.

It was just the latest in a long line of distractions for Harden this season, most of which have stemmed from his girlfriend, Khloe Kardashian. Given her career as a reality star, Kardashian is prone to making headlines, but 2015 took it to a whole different level.
Lamar Odom Looking To Focus On Recovery, Not Khloe Kardashian's Love Life
The drama surrounding her decision to stay legally married to husband Lamar Odom following his near-death experience in a Nevada brothel after a drug binge has been well-documented. With his girlfriend supporting her husband financially and emotionally in his long road to recovery, the off-field distractions must weigh heavily on Harden.
There were also rumors of a breakup between Kardashian and Harden stemming from the NBA star not wanting to "look like a fool" after Kardashian was out with another ex-boyfriend, French Montana, at a concert last month.
To this point, Harden and Kardashian have remained together. Whether or not the distractions piling up have led to the inconsistencies in Harden's game this season is anybody's guess. Still, despite the Rockets owning seventh place in the Western Conference and on pace for a playoff spot, it's been a disappointing season thus far in Houston.
The Rockets 17-19 record tells it all. While the laser pointer may have gone away, Harden's problems with Kardashian remain prevalent.
