Don’t expect Kristaps Porzingis to be shot outside of a strip club anytime soon, but a new world will open to the Knicks rookie when turns 21.
At the moment, Porzingis is enjoying the quiet life in White Plains where he lives with both his parents and two brothers.

“It’s always good to have support around,” Porzingis said, per New York Daily News. “Especially as young as I am, and being in New York and a lot of attention.
“For one part, yes, my family’s around to make sure I’m doing the right thing, I’m staying out of trouble, I’m just focused on basketball and I think for me that’s great to have family around.”

Porzingis won’t need one in eight months time, though. Not with his 21st birthday falling on Aug. 2.

It’s a balancing act he’ll have to master in 2016.
