Ndamukong Suh's six-year, $114 million contract has put the spotlight and bullseye squarely between his numbers this season with the Dolphins.

Despite Miami's dismal 2015, Suh has not been the bust many people proclaim, according to Fansided's nflspinzone.com.

Ndamukong Suh Threatens To Fire Dolphins Teammates

"Even though the Miami Dolphins have been a disappointment, their marquee free agent signing on defense, Ndamukong Suh, has indeed made the profound impact that the organization envisioned when they gutsily signed him to a six-year deal worth $114 million with $60 million in guarantees," the Fansided report reads. "Although the Dolphins defense is 28th in net yards per pass attempt allowed, 23rd in points per game, and 27th in yards per game, Suh has been a high-impact superstar."

The website cites a statistic called "stuffs" in the running game, in which the sixth-year veteran is fifth in the league with 12, per Sporting Charts, leading to an NFL-best 42 yards lost.

Ndamukong Suh Says Outburst Is Due To His Concern For Player Safety

Suh is third among defensive tackles in quarterback hurries (19), and only five defensive players have more tackles for loss than Suh's 16.

The mercurial Suh also has aided defensive end Olivier Vernon's growth as a pass-rusher. Vernon, who was relied on more heavily because of the injury to Cameron Wake, has 55 tackles, 18 tackles for loss and seven sacks.

Suh has 5.5 sacks, which critics claim are a reason to suspect subpar play. He had 8.5 last season and a career-high 10 in his rookie season in 2010.

"But if sacks are the stat you are using to evaluate defensive tackle play, then you are taking a completely inaccurate view of how to evaluate the position accurately," nflspinzone.com added. "Suh had 5.5 sacks in 2013 and was also brilliant that year."

The analysis flies in the face of what Miami vice president of football operations Mike Tannenbaum said earlier in the year, albeit it was just four games into the season.

"He hasn't played as well as we'd hoped; we haven't played as well as we'd hoped," he told 640-AM Sports, a local Miami station, via the Sun-Sentinel.

Now, whether Suh has played up to his $19 million annual salary may be a different question, but nflspinzone.com believes he has played as well as in previous seasons.
