Power couple Russell Wilson and Ciara may have had the "Best Christmas Ever," but there's no reason to top it off with an engagement just yet.

The R&B singer spent the holiday with her quarterback boyfriend and wrote on Instagram how much she enjoyed Christmas by his side, but the two shouldn't be racing to the altar. The picture Ciara posted caused a bit of a stir as she appeared to cover up her left hand, which is where an engagement ring would go.

As of now, the celebrity couple hasn't announced any pending nuptials, and they should keep it that way. Wilson currently has his hands full with the Seahawks' push to the playoffs, so he doesn't need any outside distractions, no matter how adorable of a couple the pair makes.

Seattle (9-6) has already clinched a playoff berth, but it is still fighting for positioning.

After their 23-17 loss to the Rams on Sunday, the Seahawks currently hold the sixth and final playoff spot in the NFC, but they can move up to the fifth slot if they defeat the Cardinals (13-2) and the Packers (10-5) topple the Vikings (10-5) next Sunday.

Wilson and Ciara are better off waiting until the season ends before taking that next big leap in their relationship. After all, Wilson has guided the Seahawks to two straight Super Bowl appearances, winning it all in the 2013-14 season. Fans jumped down Ciara's throat when the two first started dating and Wilson and the Seahawks struggled mightily, but things have cooled down recently.

The fourth-year quarterback has played some of his best football in the latest stretch, which includes a five-game winning streak that was snapped on Sunday. Wilson has a career-high 31 touchdown passes this season.

Though Ciara and Wilson are the talk of the football and celebrity world, their potential engagement can wait.
