Ryan Ciminelli, Kim Bolleby, Jakob Butturff and Gary Faulkner Jr. all descend onto the National Bowling Stadium on Sunday.
Ciminelli is trying for his fifth PBA Tour career title and third of the season, while looking to maintain his bid for Player of the Year. Faulkner Jr. will try for his second World Series of Bowling VII title. Butturff, who is just a rookie, will look for his first bit of history.
Bolleby is the first player from Thailand to make a PBA Tour telecast.
Ciminelli will meet Faulkner Jr. in one of the two simultaneous semifinals. Bolleby will meet Butturff in the other. The winners will advance to a one-game match for the Viper Championship title.
A free live stream of the finals scheduled for 11 a.m. PST can be found here.
What They're Saying
Gary Faulkner Jr., per Bowl.com: "Over the past year, I felt [my first title] coming. I was making small mistakes, but I'd go home and check my stats and fix my mistakes. Those small pins add up over time. I knew I could do it. I visualized it. I had maybe a half hour of nervousness, but I took a nap and came over here to bowl, and that was it."
Note: Faulkner Jr. won his first PBA Tour title at the 2015 Roltech PBA World Championship.
