No. 1 Jacksonville State (12-1) meets a familiar foe when Sam Houston State (11-3) visits Burgess-Snow Field in the semifinals of the FCS playoffs.
The Bearkats -- yes, that's spelled correctly -- upended the Gamecocks' championship run in 2014. A 37-26 upset sent Jacksonville State home early in the second round. Sam Houston State would eventually be eliminated by North Dakota State in the semifinals.
This year, head coach K.C. Keeler has eyes set on something more.
