Jets head coach Todd Bowles doesn’t watch enough basketball. If he did, he wouldn’t liken Dez Bryant to the best player in the NBA.

Bowles -- whose top priority will be containing Bryant on Saturday -- is still wary of the Cowboys WR. He just took it a step too far.

Even Mark Wahlberg Is More Accurate Than Matt Cassel

“Dez Bryant being slow is like LeBron [James] being slow,” Bowles said, per the New York Post. “You’re going to get something from him. You’re going to get something out of him. He’s a great player. You never slow down, you just find different ways to beat people.

“We expect the best Dez Bryant we’re going to see.”

J.J. Watt Is Saving Cowboys Fans By Making Them Texans Fans

Expect it all you want, you just won’t see James outside the hashmark. You’re more likely to see a 37-year-old Kobe Bryant.

Both have been hobbled by foot injuries.

Both play for bad teams.

And while Dez can’t shoot an airball like Kobe …

He can drop a pass or two.

But even that comparison doesn’t hold up. Kobe was once great enough to win five NBA titles. Dez is yet to reach that pinnacle.
