The Pac-12 will be decided Saturday when No. 7 Stanford battles No. 20 USC.
For Stanford, a victory is necessary if the program is to have any chance of qualifying for the College Football Playoff. Obviously, help will be needed in the form of a Clemson or Alabama loss, but Stanford must do its part first.
What Notre Dame Needs To Qualify For The College Football Playoff
Standing in the way is an improved USC side under the tutelage of Clay Helton.
The Trojans have won five of their last six games, including a 40-21 victory over UCLA last Saturday to qualify for the Pac-12 championship.
