Philadelphia 76ers Rumors: Twin Tower Power Not Working For Brett Brown [VIDEO]

When the Sixers got a chance to fit in Jahlil Okafor at the 2015 NBA Draft, Philly seemed to have a formidable frontline that could pose problems for opposing teams.

But there was one problem to all that and this was that both players were natural centers. That meant that head coach Brett Brown cannot play them at the same time unless one of them could slide down to the power forward spot.

Brown tried to play Noel at power forward but obviously, such is not working out as singled out by Philly.com. So would he try moving down Jahlil Okafor next?

At this point, the Sixers may need to continue trying. Remember that there is another player who has yet to play his first NBA game, Joel Embiid. And for the record, he too is a center which means how can the Sixers survive with three players who play the same position?

Sixers Cast The Whip On Jahlil Okafor For His Own Good

With that said, the Sixers can either trade away one or two of the players (Noel, Okafor or Embiid) in the future or find a way to make them click. But one can somehow sense that someone will be dealt soon.

Of the trio, Noel and Okafor are likely to draw interest since Embiid has yet to prove what he can do as an NBA player. In all, Okaford and even Noel could end up as trade bait in the future as speculated by ESPN.

In essence, it doesn’t look like the Sixers will be keeping all three in the near future. Seeing how the Sixers have dealt away good players in the past, it will not be surprising if all three end up with new teams as early as this season.

Though the twin tower combination did click for teams such as the Rockets (Ralph Sampson and Hakeem Olajuwon) and Spurs (David Robinson and Tim Duncan) for a time, it doesn’t look like the Sixers will be among those successful teams and tandems.
