The Packers stunned the Lions on Thursday Night Football last night with a Hail Mary pass on an untimed down, and while Aaron Rodgers bomb of a throw was impressive, Twitter was reacting more strongly to the play that set it up. On Green Bay’s final play (presumably) Rodgers was facemasked ever so slightly by Devin Taylor of the Lions.
Upon closer review, the penalty may have been a little weak, but once Rodgers’ head was turned around, the call became a no-brainer for the officials. One of the first to react online was Vikings running back Adrian Peterson, whose team has a vested interest right now in the outcome of Packers games.
Brett Favre Was 'Five Minutes' From Playing On Thanksgiving
Lol, i'm sorry but a thumb hitting the face mask isn't pass interference! Heck of a play

Not quite Adrian. To his credit, he quickly realized his mistake.
I mean face-mask — Adrian Peterson (@AdrianPeterson) December 4, 2015
That really didn’t matter to most people, who jumped all over him and mocked the original tweet as if the correction never occurred. AP probably should have just deleted the first one, but instead decided to express his displeasure with the responses in a third tweet.
Aaron Rodgers Is Much Better than Brett Favre
Why all the hate, a brother can't speak his mind?! Guess what?! I forgive & love you still! — Adrian Peterson (@AdrianPeterson) December 4, 2015
Just stay off Twitter man. Others were reacting to the facemask penalty and subsequent Hail Mary TD. Former Wisconsin Badgers Sam Dekker and Frank Kaminsky had a minor disagreement on the matter.
I lost hope for a sec. was before the flag for face mask https://t.co/cuwGnaLMlp — Sam Dekker (@dekker) December 4, 2015
Yea... "Facemask" https://t.co/Mu5l5p0OxE — Frank Kaminsky III (@FSKPart3) December 4, 2015
Confused? Although Kaminsky starred for the Badgers, he is a Chicago native and no fan of Green Bay. Even more reactions!
Definitely a phantom facemask. #GBvsDET — Brendon Ayanbadejo (@brendon310) December 4, 2015
