Stephen Curry tortured the Hornets Wednesday night, hanging 28 points on them in the third quarter alone while his dad, ex-Hornets star Dell Curry, looked on. The Warriors are on their way toward more history with every win, but something might be getting overlooked. Is Stephen Curry the most frustrating opponent in the league?

Certain players’ dominance is to be expected. LeBron James is among the NBA’s best finishers at the rim, and he has scored buckets with large defenders draped all over him. It’s expected, just like it’s no surprise when Kevin Durant or Dirk Nowitzki sink tough long-distance shots because their length makes them unblockable. What the NBA has never seen, however, is a player of Curry’s stature running circles around his opposition in this manner.

Don't Laugh, Stephen Curry Might Be The New Michael Jordan

Curry, statistically the greatest shooter in league history, has his foes completely befuddled. Everyone knows they can’t leave him open, but he is uncorking 3-pointers even when defenders leave him a fraction of space. That forces defenders to close out harder, which then allows him to dribble right past them and score via infuriating finger rolls. Just look at how upset Kemba Walker is when Curry blows by the entire Hornets squad.

Don’t worry Kemba, he’s done it to better players than you. It’s not your fault.

Who Will Lose First, The Warriors Or Carolina Panthers?

At least when the LeBron types dunk, the victims can understand it. Curry is simply mystifying.
