Matt Hasselbeck can blame Barry Bonds, Roger Clemens and every other aging athlete who ever took steroids to prolong their career for his morning.
The 40-year-old was the subject of a random drug test on Wednesday, according to his Twitter feed. Apparently, completing 64.7 percent of your passes for 1,023 yards and seven TDs is enough to trigger suspicion in the NFL.

This, of course, is becoming the norm for aging Colts veterans. Adam Vinatieri, 42, was subjected to a “random” drug test after kicking a 53-yard FG last January.

Whatever Hasselbeck is or is not on, he needs to continue delivering under center if he hopes to keep Andrew Luck on the sideline.
The former No. 1-pick is doing everything he can to return sooner rather than later.
