Adrien Broner Next Fight: Marcos Maidana Contract Complete? 'El Chino' Curses Out 'Problem,' Expects Support From Latino Fans [VIDEO]

It's been well-known throughout boxing that the next opponent for loud-mouthed welterweight champion Adrien Broner would be Marcos Maidana, but now that is about to become official. Golden Boy Promotions has announced the contract for Maidana is nearly complete, pitting "The Problem" against the hardest-punching opponent of his young career.

Maidana is generally reserved leading up to his fights, preferring to allow his thunderous fists to speak for him. However this time, the knockout artist is saying plenty.

"I have never gone up against someone like Broner, who talks so bad about his opponents," Maidana said. "That is why you see me more animated than I usually am. Beating Broner will mean more to me than a lot of my other fights. It is a very important fight."

He also said "F-k Broner, f-k Broner," to members of the press while calling on all Latino fight fans to support him against the brash champion. "Usually all Latinos support each other and Mexicans are no difference. I think they will be supporting me as well against Broner," Maidana said.

Defeating Broner will likely be a tall task, but he has never faced someone who hits like Maidana does. That said, "El Chino" believes his increased boxing ability under new trainer Robert Garcia could make the difference for him.

"The jab is going to be very important in this fight," Maidana said. "It is a key punch to set up other punches throughout the fight. Robert Garcia has really helped me develop it."

Broner and Maidana had a recent altercation in Las Vegas that nearly escalated into a brawl, but Maidana's distaste for "The Problem" extends further than that, back when Broner faced Eloy Perez in February of 2012.

"He was so disrespectful to Eloy and Eloy's family," Maidana said. "At the time I say 'what kind of person would do that to Eloy's family?' His personality, I don't think anyone really likes what he thinks or what he says."
