After Sunday, it appears that Russell Wilson is finally settling into his newfound celebrity fame.

As an NFL quarterback, Wilson is used to being in the spotlight during the season, but now that he's dating Ciara, his fame has risen off the gridiron. Though Wilson did his best to deflect his on-field troubles as having nothing to do with his high-profile relationship with the singer, he had several naysayers.

Much like Olivia Munn experienced during Aaron Rodgers' struggles, there were a lot of people who wondered if the "Dance like We're Making Love" singer was responsible for the former Super Bowl champion signal caller's troubles. Wilson may have proved those doubters wrong on Sunday all while affirming he's more than comfortable with his new found celebrity.

Wilson threw for a career-high five touchdowns against the Steelers on Sunday, his 27th birthday, in leading the Seahawks to a 39-30 victory. The two-time Pro Bowler also set a career-best mark in passer rating (147.9) while going 21-of-30 for 345 yards with no interceptions. It seems he's finally learned how to juggle Ciara and football.

All five of Wilson's touchdown throws came from inside the pocket on Sunday, and even his head coach took notice of his improved play.

"I think he's the best he's been in the pocket," Pete Carroll said via NBC Sports. "You can see him most solid with his reads and his decision-making and all of that. I think that was an illustration of it [Sunday] that he has come a long way and he's really comfortable. He can rip the football and use all of his guys and use the whole field when we can give him a chance to. It's a real positive sign."

With his performance, Wilson showed that he's adjusting to his newfound fame. He helped bring Seattle to 6-5, good enough for the final wild card spot in the NFC playoff picture.

If only Seattle's defense could find some celebrities to date, maybe it would return to its impenetrable form.
