The Columbus Crew and New York Red Bulls cross paths for the fourth time this season.
None of the previous three matchups, however, will carry the same importance the Eastern Conference finals do.
RBNY earned two-out-of-three victories during the regular season, both by a 2-1 scoreline. Ironically enough, Columbus achieved the same result in its only victory in the series. This is also the first time the two clubs have crossed paths in the playoffs since the 2008 MLS Cup final.
On that day, it was the Crew that walked away victorious.
