The former President was at Ohio State's football practice on Thursday. Just hours earlier, he delivered a speech at the Mershon Auditorium on campus. It just wasn’t enough traction for a presidential campaign.
Clinton needed a photo op. He needed to connect with the younger demographic.

Sure, Clinton is “a Buckeye” until he needs he to travel to Wisconsin and visit the Badgers -- another swing state. Clinton is “a Buckeye” until Kirk Ferentz and company receive a visit in Iowa -- another swing state.
No campaign trail would be complete, of course, without a visit to the ultimate swing state and the Florida Gators.
Ohio State hosts Michigan State on Saturday in the decisive Big Ten showdown. Don’t expect Clinton to be in attendance chugging a Budweiser in his scarlet and grey.
