Many have tried to enter the Michael Jordan conversation. Even more have failed. Don’t expect Steph Curry to be one of them.

The Warriors PG put on another dazzling display in Golden State’s 124-117 victory over the Clippers on Thursday. His 40 points on 11-of-22 shooting were enough to push the Warriors to a perfect 13-0 this season.

Steph Curry Has A Bad Habit Of Biting People

As if that wasn’t enough, he is the first player to average 30 points with a 60 percent shooting percentage since...Jordan.

And if that wasn’t enough, he decided to make history of his own.

Unfortunately for Chris Paul, he had to be embarrassed in the process.

Admittedly, all this can be dismissed as hyperbole. After all, Grant Hill was the heir apparent to Jordan at one point, but his body couldn’t shoulder the burden. Vince Carter adopted the name “Air Canada,” but that flight proved to be as reliable as Southwest Airlines.

LeBron James and Kobe Bryant were the only two to ever threaten Jordan’s supremacy, but the lack of zeros dented their case -- as in “zero” NBA finals defeats.

Jordan was a perfect 6-0. They are not.

As it stands, Curry is the only heir apparent with a ring and an unblemished record on the biggest stage. Given the start to his 2015-16 season, there’s no reason to bet against a second.
