Colin Kaepernick Twitter Critics Dismiss 49ers QB As 'One Year Wonder,': Social Media Hate Motivating Him? [VIDEO]

San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick is using a flurry of Twitter criticisms following back-to-back bad games as motivation in hopes of propelling him back to his level of star play last season.

The NFC champs have been outscored 56-10 over the last two weeks and most of the blame has fallen squarely on the shoulders of the suddenly struggling Niners signal caller.

Kaepernick burst on the scene and instantly rose to the level of advertising superstar last season after replacing Alex Smith and leading San Francisco all the way to the Super Bowl. But, if Twitter is any true indicator, much of the love now seems gone, or at least is on the decline.

Some of the Twitter post about Kaepernick are simply too vulgar to print, while others label him a "one-year wonder" and yearn for the days of the since departed Smith.

Questioned Tuesday by ESPN as to why he favorited several unfavorable and unsavory tweets, Kaepernick responded "it's something that I do for me. It helps me," he said.

"I guess you could say that," Kaepernick told ESPN when directly asked if he uses all the Twitter venom as added motivation.
