Shakira's hips don't lie, but a former employee apparently does.

The pop artist and her soccer boyfriend, Gerard Pique, claim they aren't being extorted over an alleged sex tape, per TMZ. The power couple allegedly let their inhibitions go on camera, which then landed in the hands of a former employee who wants a handsome fee in return.

A rep for Pique denies the allegations, claiming there is no such plot. A source close to Shakira told Mirror Celebs that the report is "very random" and "completely untrue," per Mirror.

It's an unfortunate circumstance for Pique. A sex tape would help alleviate some of the boos in Spain.

Barcelona Still In Trouble Ahead Of El Clasico

The Barcelona star has been mercilessly booed across the country for his anti-Madrid, pro-Catalunya sentiments, much to the dismay of his teammates.

"I don't think it's right at all," Jordi Alba said in September, per Goal. "He's always committed to the national team and always says he's honored to play for Spain.

"People are free to form their own opinions on players, but I don't like it when they boo Pique."

Even England fans felt the need to support Pique in a recent friendly between the two nations, chanting "Gerard Pique, he's one of our own" in Spain's 2-0 victory last Friday.

Little -- even winning the 2010 World Cup and 2012 Euro Cup -- will help mend Pique's relationship with Spanish fans, but releasing a sex tape with one of the most sought-after pop artists in the world is a start.
