Very quietly, Iowa has creeped to No. 5 in the College Football Rankings. Now, the program must prove itself in primetime.
The Hawkeyes (9-0) host Minnesota (4-5) on Saturday. The Gophers are losers of four of the last five games, but proved to be tough matchups for Michigan and Ohio State. They hope to pose a similar challenge to Iowa at Kinnick Stadium.
With the Hawkeyes just three victories from a berth in the Big Ten championship, don't expect Kirk Ferentz and company to overlook their opponent.
