Never mind the fact that Jason Pierre-Paul will be in uniform Sunday, it’s a miracle his NFL career isn’t over at this point. That’s the reality that’s escaped everyone.
JPP Has An Extra Week To Earn His Money
The Giants travel to Tampa Bay to face the Buccaneers in Week 9. Pierre-Paul, unfairly, is already being seen as the savior of a defense that conceded a league-worst 2,523 passing yards and only managed 12 sacks the first eight weeks of the season.
Even defensive coordinator is hoping his talented skill set can help make the difference.

“Look, he’s got some real good skills,” Spagnuolo said last week, per New York Daily News. “He’s a talented football player, and I respect that part of it.
“[I’m] hoping we get the most out of him.”
Forget the “most,” hope you get something out of him at all.
For all they hype, for all the expectations, this is still a Pierre-Paul with a severely damaged right hand -- one that required a custom glove molded for four fingers.

All things considered, this is Pierre-Paul’s first action since 2014. Take what you can get.
