Marcus Morris has become quite a player with the Pistons, something he was obviously unable to do when he was still wearing a Suns jersey. And there was no better team to show off what he could really do than the very same one that dealt him away back in July.

Morris is of course one-half of the Morris Twins who had a pretty colorful Summer. Though Marcus was more of the quiet one, it was his brother Markieff that took the limelight as he let out his dismay at how the Suns were managing their players.

Between the twins, Markieff starred while Marcus didn’t. And apparently he Suns felt that someone who could help the franchise was needed thus leading to the trade.

The issue escalated since it turns out that both had agreed to sacrifice their pay just as long they were able to play together. But as things are turning out right now, Marcus’ transfer to Detroit seems to be a blessing in disguise.

Marcus has of course been putting up good numbers during the preseason, but many felt that he would vanish in the regular season. Marcus has proven everyone wrong and is now a vital cog of Stan Van Gundy’s offense.

He showed that against his former team, winding up with 20 points to help the Pistons defeat the Suns, 100-92. But all throughout, Marcus Morris heard nothing but boos though he didn’t mind.

In fact he took a swipe at the Phoenix fans and said that Detroit fans are better when he was asked if the hard reception bothered him at all.

"None, man," Morris said. "It didn't really affect me none, man. I love it, man. I love it. This ain't Detroit, though, man. Detroit fans [are] way better. I don't even know what this is out here."

He adds (via the Detroit Free Press): "If Detroit was booing somebody it would have been way better. They don't even know what they doing. They don't even know why they booing.
