Reigning NBA Most Valuable Player Stephen Curry continues to sizzle for the Warriors and such is one reason why the defending champions have yet to drop a game this season.
After unloading 40 points against the Pelicans in the Warriors' season-opener, Curry improved on that performance by dropping 53 this time around, en route to a 134-120 win.

The bulk of those points came in the third quarter when Curry outscored the Pelicans all by himself. In fact Curry could have added to his point production had the Warriors not used him sparingly in the fourth frame with the outcome already decided.
With the three-game scoring performance, Curry now becomes the first player since Michael Jordan to score 118 points in the team’s first three games.

"You just get better as a player and try to take it to another level," Curry said via ESPN. "So that's what I'm trying to do this year. I'm blessed to be healthy. I'm feeling pretty energetic, pretty strong out there on the floor, playing free, just having fun, so usually good things happen when all that comes together" .
To recap, Curry dropped 40 in the opener against the Pelicans, 25 in the win against the Rockets and now 53 again right on the Pelicans' home turf.
Could Curry have another wild scoring night when the Warriors host another Western Conference favorite in the visiting Grizzlies Tuesday?
Unless Memphis wants to get scorched, head coach David Joerger may have to plan ahead and try to find a way to stop Curry from unleashing another fiery performance.
