Austin Rivers knows how important it is to play his best once he is given the chance to play and apparently he was pretty disappointed at his performance when the Los Angeles Clippers guard got his chance against the Sacramento Kings.

But for his own good, he may want to put his emotions in check to avoid an untoward incident that happened as he was headed back to the bench in the fourth quarter.

Obviously out of frustration, Rivers may have forgotten he was in actual game and threw a seat cushion into the stands. With fans around to watch the tussle, the thrown cushion apparently hit an unsuspecting woman located in the second row.

The woman was attended to by Clippers security officials but the damage had been done. And for that incident, inadvertent or not, Rivers just got another black eye after being meted with a stiff $25,000 fine for his outburst.

The son of head coach Doc Rivers looks like he is opening the season on a sour note but then again, you don’t allow your emotions and tantrums get the better of you unless you are able to easily shell out $25,000 at the least for such.

Rivers finds himself jockeying for playing time with a loaded backcourt for the Clippers.

That includes Chris Paul, Jamaal Crawford, J.J. Reddick and Lance Stephenson are just few of the other guys he has to contend with for ample playing time.
