Just hours after rumors began to swirl that Barcelona star Lionel Messi is ready to leave the Spanish club, another Barca star, Neymar, is reportedly also looking to make a move and being linked to Premier League powerhouse Manchester United.

Armed with their £750 million kit deal with Adidas, Manchester United is primed to go after big talent, and Neymar is looking for a new club where he can really shine and be the star, according to Spanish soccer news site Don Balon.

Neymar Admits He 'Had Conversations' With Manchester United

Neymar wants to move out of Messi's shadow and win a Ballon d'Or of his own (Messi has already won four), according to the report, and Man U is reportedly more than read to pay the huge transfer fees. Given Man U's prominence and winning tradition in the Premier League, Old Trafford might just be the perfect stage for the Brazilian baller.

Of course, moving to the Red Devils in order to get away from Messi might backfire since Messi himself has been linked to rumors of leaving Barcelona for Manchester United. However, Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu dimissed the rumors, saying anyone who says Messi is leaving his team, "should be embarrassed."

Three Teams That Could Potential Land Messi, Who's 'Never Been Closer' To Leaving Barca

Neymar, on the other hand, may be a more likely candidate to leave Spain for the Premier League, and given manager Louis Van Gaal's interested in bringing on young talent to create a new dynasty, Neymar might be the perfect fit.
