Floyd Mayweather, Jr. firmly cemented his claim as the best fighter in the world and one of the best boxers of all-time after beating up-and-coming Mexican star Saul "Canelo" Alvarez last Saturday at the MGM Grand.

Mayweather's dominance has led many boxing observers to scramble for names of possible opponents, including Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao. However, Mayweather is not inclined at all to fight his biggest rival.

"At this point, Manny Pacquiao is not in my plans," Mayweather told The Los Angeles Times when asked about his potential opponents in 2014.

The same newspaper reports that fight promoter Richard Schaefer believes that Mayweather cannot be beaten by any boxer today. "He's a once-in-a-generation fighter," Schaefer was quoted as saying.

However, a report by ABS-CBN.com says the dream fight between the two megastars is still not completely out of the picture. The report quoted Showtime vice president for sports Stephen Espinoza as saying that the fight is still workable, although it is still up to Mayweather.

"I don't consider anything un-doable. If Floyd ultimately has any interest in it, I have no problem putting all of our efforts into making that fight. We would do that as long as we're not chasing our tail," Espinoza told the website.

Several names have been mentioned as possible opponents of Mayweather, who has said he will fight again next May. According to The Los Angeles Times, these fighters include unbeaten junior welterweight champion Danny Garcia and welterweights Amir Khan and Devon Alexander, who will be squaring off on December 7.
