Dez Bryant might be closer to returning to NFL action than most fans think, with the wide receiver currently considered 50/50 to suit up against the Seahawks.

Bryant, who has been out since Week 1 after breaking his foot against the Giants, began doing some work last week. According to Fox Sports, it's a coin flip on whether or not Bryant gets on the field for Week 8.

If Bryant can't play against the Seahawks, it is anticipated that he will make his return against the Eagles in Week 9. The Cowboys have been reeling since losing Bryant and quarterback Tony Romo, so getting one of the two back will be huge for the team.

One thing to note is that even if Bryant does play against the Seahawks, he may not be as big of a factor as fans, and fantasy owners, might think. The Lions have used an injured Calvin Johnson as a decoy in the past, and a talent like Bryant could also act in such a role until truly healthy.

In addition to Bryant potentially being a decoy, it is also important to remember that it will not be Romo throwing him the ball, but instead journeyman QB Matt Cassel. And to make things even more difficult, Bryant would be facing off against the best cornerback in the league in Richard Sherman.

Bryant certainly has his work cut out for him this week if he hopes to a factor for the Cowboys against the Seahawks. But whether he can play to his full ability or not, it will still be huge for Dallas to get him back on the field.
